3-DAY Intensive Very Practical WORKSHOP
"This workshop has changed my concept of acupuncture and how it should be practiced." ~ Mark Piquet, DO
"The quality of Dr. Ma's course is head and shoulders above any other I've attended on the national level for 30 years." Paul Ramsey, M.D.
Our three-day intensive practical workshop is clinically oriented and specifically designed for medical doctors, doctors of osteopathy and doctors of chiropractic, with or without previous experience. This workshop is presented using familiar neuroanatomical principles which share the same physiological basis with mainstream biomedicine.
The biomedical and quantitative approach to acupuncture is also of great benefit to traditionally trained acupuncturists .
The prerequisite to the workshop is our textbook, Biomedical Acupuncture for Pain Management, Integrative Approach, by Yun-tao Ma, Mila Ma, and Zang Hee Cho, Elsevier, 2005. This textbook can be purchased online from
Elsevier Health or Amazon
Our Very Practical Workshop mainly presents important subjects and skills that are not included in the textbook
The workshop provides you with solid practical skills for immediate implementation of Biomedical Acupuncture for Pain Management into daily practice.
Our course in Boulder, CO is as close as possible to an old-fashioned one-to-one apprentice program, with attendance limited to only 8 doctors. Thus all attendees will have a sufficient amount of practice under close supervision. Most information presented during the workshop is not included in Dr. Ma’s textbook but is new information to be included in Dr.Ma's new textbook, Biomedical Acupuncture for Sports Medicine and Trauma Rehabilitation.
