The authors of this book have developed a
treatment protocol which they term the Integrative
Neuromuscular Acupuncture System (INMAS), a
synthesis of biomedicine and traditional acupuncture
based on biomedical mechanism of acupuncture to develop
reproducible clinical procedures of medical acupuncture .
When I first read Biomedical Acupuncture for Pain Management, my thought over and over was “Wow! This is great! This approach is much more sensible to me!” I have been using acupuncture since 1998. So many acupuncture texts simply re-write the ancient and confusing tenants put forth two thousand years ago in the Yellow Emperor’s Classic. Your explanations are eloquent. I have learned a great deal from your book and continue to try to learn more so I can be of greater help to my patients. Mark Kestner, DC
Book
review from the International Journal of Osteopathic Medicine:
"As an osteopath and traditionally
trained acupuncturist I believe that this book is
a genuine milestone and the essential guide
to the management of neuro-musculoskeletal pain.
Highly trained modern healthcare
professionals end up spending years studying the
traditional acupuncture methods (TCM) and feel
confused. That is, until the recent publication of
Biomedical Acupuncture for Pain Management: An
Integrative Approach.
This remarkable
book represents a unique, neuroanatomically defined
medical acupuncture system for the
management of neuro-musculoskeletal pain-
Integrative Neuromuscular Acupuncture System
(INMAS). The INMAS allows the
practitioner to follow a standardized treatment
protocol that is also flexible enough to allow
customization for each individual patient ". ~
Luke Rickards, DO
"I am a western trained
Osteopathic Family Physician with a strong interest
in integrating medical acupuncture
into my clinical practice. I have studied numerous
TCM texts and find myself lost and confused. What I
can grasp are the concepts of Biomedical and
Neuroanatomical acupuncture as presented in
'Biomedical Acupuncture for Pain Management'. This
practical book can help you integrate medical
acupuncture into your clinical practice."
Graig J. Amnott, DO
"I deeply
believe that this book, Biomedical Acupuncture
for Pain Management, an Integrative Approach,
is a milestone on the road towards
integrating acupuncture into mainstream medicine ".~ Song Zhen-zhi,
OMD, Ph.D.
